Former Councillor Shailesh Wadner Joins BJP in Badlapur

Badlapur: Former councillor Shailesh Wadner, who was part of the Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party coalition in the Kulgaon-Badlapur Municipal Corporation, has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The joining took place on Sunday in the presence of BJP MLA Kisan Kathore.

Wadner, known as an experienced councillor, had the potential to contest the municipal elections. In 2019, he prepared to contest the assembly elections. Previously, Wadner was a Shiv Sena councillor but left the party after a dispute with city chief Vaman Mhatre. He contested the 2024 assembly elections as an independent candidate against BJP MLA Kisan Kathore.
