Rare sightings at Yeor forest during wildlife census
On Vaishakh Pournima, forest officials at Yeor in Sanjay Gandhi National Park conducted a night wildlife census. They recorded 61 wild creatures including deer, sambar, jungle cats, snakes, eagles, and owls. The survey, covering 100 spots in the forest, was supported by nature experts and volunteers. Though a leopard’s presence was noticed, it couldn’t be officially recorded. Experts shared that the full moon night helps in better animal sightings as wild animals come near water sources.
