Youth Arrested in Thane for Spying for Pakistan.

Anti-terror cell takes action; sensitive data shared with banned organization.

A 27-year-old man from Kalwa, Thane, was arrested for allegedly spying for Pakistan. He was in contact with a banned Pakistani group and passed sensitive military and defense information to them. Police found he shared secret data through social media and messaging apps between November 2024 and March 2025. The man was linked to a Pakistani handler via Facebook. A case under UAPA and IPC has been registered, and further investigation by the anti-terror squad is ongoing.
