Worker Injured After Getting Stuck in Elevator Shaft

Rescued After 40 Minutes by Fire Brigade in Thane

A 36-year-old worker, Vijayanand Mestri, was seriously injured after getting stuck in an elevator shaft due to a technical fault in a high-rise building at Kavesar, Ghodbunder. The incident happened while maintenance work was underway on the first floor. Thane fire brigade and police reached the spot, and after 40 minutes of effort, the worker was safely rescued. However, he suffered a serious injury to his left hand and is currently being treated at a private hospital. The mishap was confirmed by the Thane Disaster Management Department.
