Defending champions India have not put a foot wrong in this Women’s T20 Asia Cup so far. They beat Pakistan by seven wickets and then thrashed UAE by 78 runs. Having booked a place in the semi-final, India will look to keep their winning streak going as they take on Nepal on Tuesday at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. Nepal, on the other hand, have won one against the UAE and lost the other against Pakistan.

Players to watch out

Richa Ghosh: This wicket-keeper-batter of India won the player of the match award in her last outing against UAE. Batting at number six, she top-scored with an unbeaten 64 from 29 balls. She hammered a dozen fours and a six in her blistering innings.

Deepti Sharma: This right-arm off spinner of India was the pick of the bowlers in her last match against UAE. She claimed 2/23 in her four overs. The tweaker bowled well in different phases of the innings. Besides her bowling, she is more than handy with the bat in the lower order.

Kabita Joshi: This all-rounder of Nepal made valuable contributions with bat and ball in her last encounter against Pakistan. She was the highest run scorer for her team with 31 not out from 23 balls. With the ball, she picked one wicket and was the only wicket-taker for her team.

Sita Rana Magar: This left-handed opening batter of Nepal provided a steady start to her team in the last fixture against Pakistan. She mustered 26 runs from 30 balls, including three hits to the fence. She can contribute with the ball too, bowling left arm medium pace.

 

Pitch

It will be the 10th match of the tournament at this venue. Batting has not been that easy on the pitches used in this competition so far with a few exceptions. The bowlers have enjoyed themselves as they have made good use of the conditions and got a lot of purchase from the wicket.

Weather

The weather will be mainly clear with temperature of about 25 degrees Celsius. There is just 6% chance of rain with a cloud cover of 60%.
