Sirens, Emergency Teams Alert Citizens; 40 People Rescued
On Sunday at 4:30 PM, sirens sounded as part of a disaster mock drill in a township. Following district administration alerts, citizens moved to safe zones. 40 residents were safely evacuated from a building, and five received first aid. The drill, named “Operation Abhyas,” was held under the Home Ministry’s guidance to test emergency preparedness against events like bomb threats or terrorist attacks. The drill was declared successful.
