Landlords requested to excuse three months house rent: Maharashtra Housing Ministry
Maharashtra state housing ministry has advised the landlords to excuse the tenants for not paying house rent for three months during this lockdown period. This news comes as a relief to the people staying on rent. Due to the lockdown, the financial condition of the people who are dependent on daily wages has taken a hit. Cognizant of this, the state government has offered some relief as far as the house rent is concerned. In addition, the government has asked the landlords to allow the tenants to stay even if they fail to pay the rent during this lockdown. The rent collection cycle will be pushed ahead by three months which will ensure that the tenants get sufficient time to get the finances back and pay their dues.
