Don’t Sell Old School Books as Scrap – Help Needy Students Instead.
Shiv Sena Leader Sanjay Patil Appeals to Dombivli Citizens.
Sanjay Patil, Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) deputy city chief in Dombivli, has urged people not to sell old school books as scrap. Instead, he appeals to donate them to help poor students. After exams, many students discard textbooks which could benefit others. A book worth ₹1,000 is often sold for just ₹20 as scrap. Patil has set up a book collection drive to distribute them to needy students. This initiative aims to reduce education costs for underprivileged families. Citizens are encouraged to submit book lists so that they can be matched and reused effectively.
