A stand-up comedian leaves Shiv Sainiks fuming, Thane’s MLA Pratap Sarnaik demands her arrest

Agrima Joshua, a stand-up comedian’s jokes on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj have left Shiv Sena fuming. It has also prompted Shiv Sena’s Thane MLA Pratap Sarnaik to demand her arrest. In the one minute seven seconds video, the comedian is seen to be making a joke about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s upcoming statue in the Arabian Sea, referring to what is mentioned about it on a question and answers website. The video is old but has surfaced online again. Sarnaik has written to the Home Minister demanding her arrest.  Home Minister Deshmukh said that he has instructed CP Mumbai and IG Cyber to take legal action expeditiously. “I urge everyone to maintain calm and law will take its course.” Meanwhile, Agrima Joshua has apologised for hurting sentiments. “I am sorry for having hurt the sentiments of the many followers of the great leader Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. My heartfelt apologies to followers of the great leader, who I sincerely respect. The video has already been taken down. Please amplify,” Joshua tweeted.
