T20 World Cup champions New Zealand face India in the 1st ODI

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is done and dusted and now it’s time to switch to the ODI mode. The new T20 World Cup champions New Zealand will set their foot on the Indian soil as they take on Women in Blue on Thursday in the first ODI in Ahmedabad. The two teams will play a three-match ODI series, with all games to take place in Ahmedabad.

Deepti Sharma: With over 2000 runs and 100 wickets in ODIs, this India’s all-rounder will play a crucial role with bat and ball. She is a left-handed middle order batter and a right arm off spinner.

Amelia Kerr: This New Zealand’s all-rounder won the player of the series award in the recently concluded ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. She was exceptional with bat and ball. She scored 135 runs and claimed 15 wickets in six matches.

Suzie Bates: This right-handed opening batter of New Zealand has a wealth of experience under her belt. In 163 ODIs, she has amassed 5718 runs, including 13 centuries and 34 half-centuries.
