Thane’s man in Europe India 40 under 40 leaders list

Europe India 40 under 40, an initiative of Europe India Center for Business and Industry (EICBI) which is in its 2nd year to discover Top 40 under 40 Europe India Leaders, covers the stories of young leaders and their contributions in promoting EU India / UK India relations. 2020 class of 40 under 40 Europe India Leaders list was released virtually on 27th November 2020. The 14 women and 26 men leaders who made to the Europe India 40 under 40 list were selected from all walks of life and represent 19 different nationalities – Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom. Thane’s VidyadharPrabhudesai was among one of the 8 leaders selected from India.

Vidyadhar is co founder of LeadCap Ventures, a global think-tank with presence across Asia, Africa and Europe. LeadCap Ventures is the regional partner of the World Economic Forum and supports their research programs and engagement in India. He is also a board member of International Foundation for Sustainable Peace and Development, an international institution for promoting dialogue and mutual understanding, especially in the Black Sea Caspian Sea region of Europe. He currently heads their operations in India.

“It’s indeed a huge honour to have made it to the 40 young leaders list. This will help me further strengthen collaboration and co operation between Europe and India. I look forward to work with EICBI and fellow leaders and continue to create impact,” says Prabhudesai.

With a vision to nurture and develop young leaders and role models from Thane, Vidyadhar has launched Global Shapers Community’s Thane Hub, which is strong network of dynamic and diverse achievers from Thane with a purpose to drive projects impacting lives of Thanekars. He has also received World Bank’s Prize on Youth Employability for impacting more than 10 million youth through various programs. He is the recepient of global fellowships from United Nations, Ford Foundation and Royal Society of Arts, London.

The 40 under 40 leaders list was released in presence of Lord Waverly and Virendra Sharma both Members of Parliament, United Kingdom, Nicolo Rinaldi, Director General for External Policies, European Union and AlphonsKannanthanam, Member of Parliament and Former Union Minister of Tourismand Sujit Nair, Chairman EICBI.
