65% fall in Thane’s real estate sales from Q1 to Q2 in 2020
According to a report by a Delhi based real estate research, data and analytics firm, there was a decline of 65 percent in real estate sales of Thane from 17,114 units sold in Q1 of 2020 to 5,999 units sold in Q2 of 2020. Launch of new units also fell by 88 percent from 18,601 units launched in Q1 to 2,257 in the second quarter. As per the analysis undertaken by the aforementioned firm, only larger developers with low debt leverage would be better placed to ride out the storm. The developers might think of resizing units, offering discounts, amenities and special payment schemes to create demand, especially during the upcoming festive season.
